Car Rally at Wilbaston Airfield Cancelled

It is reported that car rallies held previously around and across the old airfield at Wilbarston have been cancelled. These caused sever disruption to walkers attempting to use the public footpaths around the old perimeter track. Paths were temporarily diverted but noise and other nuisance was always a concern.

Those on the Around Corby route will be able to walk now in safety though it must be pointed out that agricultural vehicles use the airfield as do trucks to and from businesses located in the old hangers.
