May 7th, 8th and 9th next year will be definitive dates in the
diarys of both UK and International walkers when the ever popular
Waendel Walking Weekend takes place.
Walkers from all over the world were welcomed last year for the
30th anniversary of this increasingly popular walking event in the
International calander. Over six thousand walkers participated in a
whole series of walks from 5km to 25km.
The second Around Corby Walking Festival will take place on the
previous weekend, May 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2010. Though not with the
pedigree of the famous Waendel Walk, none the less we will provide
walks that will be just as enjoyable but in the fabulous
countryside surrounding the thriving town of Corby, just
about twenty miles (30km) north of Wellingborough.
Why not make your visit to the UK and to Wellingborough all the
more enjoyable by participating in the Around Corby event the
previous weekend?
