Free Bus Service for Around Corby Festival Opening Day

Free Buses to Walking Festival Opening

There will be a free bus service from Corby's Railway Station and the town centre to East Carlton Park this Saturday, May 1^st, which is the opening day of the Around Corby Walking Festival. Run by Judges Coaches there will be two free services in the morning departing the rail station at 10.00 and 12.00 and calling at the bus stop by the old Westgate House in Elizabeth Street on the edge of the town centre at approximately 10.05 and 12.05. The return free service will leave East Carlton Park for Corby and the station at 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm, which will give visitors plenty of time to see the many display stands in the park for the Saturday or perhaps participate on one or two of the walks.  Northamptonshire Country Council have provided funding for the free bus. They will also have a small display in East Carlton Park during the day alongside many other organisations such as suppliers of garden bird seed, the Ramblers, Wildlife Trust, Corby Radio, the local NHS Primary Care Trust and a great deal more. The web site also has a complete list of all of the organisations who will be in the park on the day. Even if there is only a passing interest in walking, there will be lots in the park during the day, besides walks of varying length to perhaps have a go at. And there are two more days of walks in and Around Corby during the Festival departing on the Sunday and Monday from other locations so there is lots to choose from..

 Should you travel to East Carlton Park by car, there is plenty of parking and Judges do also run a scheduled service, the 167, from Corby to Market Harborough. Tickets will have to be purchased. It stops to the side of the main road with just a short walk down into East Carlton Park itself.
