The main Around Corby walking route right around the whole town
and taking in every rural village in the Borough will soon become
more navigable with the help of dedicated waymarkers.
Over the coming months, the waymarkers will be positioned to
help those on the 34 mile main route to assist them from place to
place especially where there may be changes in direction or
difficult areas.
However, any waymerkers such as those supplied by
Northamptonshire County Council, and certainly the new Around Corby
signs, are no substitute for good sense and the use of Ordinance
Survey Explorer map 224. This will not only assist with direction
but will enable users to find out so much more about the area
surrounding where they are and, with just a little experience, if
lost or the weather closes in an escape route to the nearest
village, road or pub can be found.
